Jeep vs. Hummer.

I have a 2001 XJ. I tried a little test. I tried pulling a fullsize 2001 H1 Hummer on flat even grounds. However, the H1 only bucked slightly and I smoked all four of my tires while trying to move it. I only moved it 1". This was done on Icy roads.
I want to pull a H1!!!!
My old 95 XJ pulled the very same H1 out of a mud pit with ease. But, my 2001 can't. Could be that I had a 350+ hp Stroker in my 95 and a 220hp 4.0 in my 2001.
I don't think that power is an issue, its more of an weight issue...

How do you smoke tires on icy roads? ........and I guess ya' got lockers if you're smokin' all 4!

Re: HI-HERE I AM!

yeah, i dont exactly get what you're doing here. and who sacrificed the well being of their h1 for your experiment? do they have another to spare?

You got it all wrong. Your supposed to go forward slowly until there is tension on the strap. Then Put it in reverse real fast and floor it.

This works best if you have a nice, big, solid steel bumper.

I'm assuming you mean you were just trying to pull the dead weight of the H1, and not in a "pulling contest" with it.

I'm surprised you couldn't pull it, but it was kind of pointless to try on the ice.

We could never get the only puss we knew with an H1 to hook up with anybody. The king of our beer induced pulling contests was always a buddy of mine with a 77 GMC Camper Special on 33" swampers. That was pretty much a constant, the 1 ton long wheelbase rigs on 33-35" tires always won, especially on pavement. The funniest was when a guy with a 95 model light-duty 2500 on 33s pulled my buddy's 79 ford on 44" boggers.....sad, but funny

RE: Chat room Sunday at 9:00 est

Push H2 with bumper into ravine. Add tapioca pudding, nutmeg, cilantro, and twenty-seven gallons of gasoline... Ignite cooking brandy over the whole mess, while hucking a plate at a rock and going OPA!

Yeah, I know, been up too long...

Power distribution

I dunno. He's a good buddy of mine, I think he was playing with me. Haha. I'll get pics of him and me later.
