have any of you who subscribed to J-Rations heard anything besides the original issue? Is it time to call it quits??

I was wondering about the next issue myself...

As for getting ripped, how could that be even if they stopped production? We only bought one issue ;) Anyways
I know Sparly didn't get ripped off ;)

Looks like they're going bi-monthly and a subscription is available.

Sounds like the free loaders put them out of business.

Nope, they're still in business. But, at the rate they're going, they're going to price themselves out of business. The first issue was nice, but definitely not worth what they were charging for it.

Lisa, I'm happy to report that my copy of J Rations arrived yesterday! I didn't have much time yesterday to look it over, but just spent some quality time on the throne reading till my legs went numb!! I have to say, you've outdone yourselves on the first issue! The writing is very good and the photography is better than what I've seen in other mag rags. I haven't played around with the CD yet, either, but plan to do that sometime this morning. Standard Issue 1 is definitely worth the money (especially since mine was free!).

Lisa,

Just finished exploring the CD, and I gotta say......I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! The still shots and videos of the two trail rides are awesome. I learned a lot from the history section, too. That was extremely well done, and very, very informative. The music was incredible, very well matched to the content of the CD. All in all, I'd have to give you an 11 on a scale of 1-10.

Keep up the good work, I'm hooked.

Gee, I'm impressed...you know how to cut and paste!

That was posted after I first saw the CD. After viewing it a few more times, my opinion has changed. Big deal.

You got a magazine and CD for $10 (well free in Spark's case)? It doesn't sound like you got completely ripped off.

I was just disappointed in that the high expectaions of follow-up publications.

Yeah, I don't really feel ripped-off............but definitely disappointed with the follow up.

I'll likely fork over another $10 for the next one.
So will I, I would like to see this magazine make it.
JP has that childish issue that for me, as a serious rock crawler cheapens the whole publication.
But when they get down to the real issues they give you more than just the squabbling of the manufactures.
So when your looking at a product they have used or installed its good info.
As to the editor Cappa, well some people spend allot of money on their jeeps and demand alto out of them. Mr Cappa has the luxury of having a large magazine throw him parts to use and abuse.
Don't even get me started on Bree...I was hoping to see a woman's point of view on Jeeping, not some sex advice column in a jeep magazine.

As to J rations...the first one was allot of trail fluff and some jeep history.
I will order the next and hope they start working on jeep related parts, than telling us how well this trail tent works.

I love how they do a budget build and then show you how to shape a part on their new english wheel and weld it up with a new tig welder and then powder coat everything and bake it in their new walk in oven.
They do projects with tools that many of us will not have handy.

Glad to see someone else shares my views. You know when people write in an complain, they just make fun of them.
