98 TJ aprox. 84k miles 2.5 4cycl. It snowed last night and before that the jeep was running fine. Now this morning when I started it up, it was fine.....I started to go and noticed the air bag light didnt shut off, and than the check engine light appeared. My jeep than started to run pretty hard. It got a little jerky on the road and when I had to chance to listen to it while idling it was struggling real real bad. PLEAE HELP[addsig]

Yeah I meant to do that before I came in but I forgot. The worst part of all this is that im a college student with a BUSY BUSY schedule and I am running between campuses like crazy. So I dont have alot of time to mess around with things, and if my vehicle craps out im done. [addsig]

If the check engine light is still on, do this:
  • With the key off, hold down the odometer reset button
  • Turn the key to run (not start)
  • Turn it back off
  • Tell us what trouble code appears on the odometer

The catalytic converter may be going bad, since it's loosing power. If this is the case, the dealer should replace for free when under 8yr/80K miles. Could be a bad coil, since it started running bad after a snow. The moisture really amplifies a bad coil or distributor cap.[addsig]
