Injured Jeeper

Skipped school today to work on my lift and my phone has been going off the hook. Another jeeper from my school(red yj just like mine) stalled while turning at a busy intersection heading to school. He was then hit by a cement truck and him and his passenger weren't wearing seatbelts. He was ejected from the vehicle and has suffered severe head trauma and i'm sure many other injuries. His passenger stayed in the vehicle but was also critically injured(her lung collapsed among other things). Everybody at school heard red jeep and since i wasn't there i guess they all thought it was me. I don't know his name but i've seen his jeep in the parking lot these past few weeks and i was about to see if he wanted to go wheeling. I'll be keeping him in my prayers and ask that you will you also. I hate to see a fellow jeeper go down.

Man you got It! I hope that everybody will remember to wear their seat belts on or off road very important, god bless, Droppey

Yes i was rearended at 35mph a little over a year ago. Totalled the other car but everybody was wearing their seatbelts and other than sore necks nobody was hurt. I still have nightmares about that flat windshield coming at my face though. What was an injurless wreck would have been 3 deaths(2 16 year olds and a 15 year old) had we not been wearing seatbelts.I firmly believe in seatbelts and ask that everybody wear them.
No updates on the boy yet. I'm still lookin into it but i've been at work all day.

He will be in the 'Punk family's prayers! Glad he made it out alive, cement trucks aren't light

After a friends recent passing I alway wear my seat belt... I never really did before.

Sorry to hear about the fellow Jeeper, but seatbelts are a must nowadays. got to wear em to survive. I hope they both come out of this well. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

The girl is out of critical care and is expected to have a full but long recovery. The boy is expected to live but the doctor's are very doubtful with how much brain trauma he had that he'll come out of it even close to 100%.

wow man it is important to wear seat belts i have a bad habit as a passenger to never wear them but when i'm behind the wheel i'm always strapped up ... sorry to hear that i hope both of them pull through , one if my friends was in an accident and had major head trauma and a few months later he walked out of the hospital fine as ever just keep faith in it !

Well if he comes out doing well enough to get around and drive again I bet he'll buy another jeep rather then some car. Cause I can't really say that I know of any other auto other then a volvo that can take a hit like that and have everyone alive, and thats some luck. I'm suprised it wasn't on the news around here or in the paper...

Yeah it surprised me too. I searched all the local channels and everything and finally had to find his friends to get the information i got. I'm still having to tell people that it wasn't me.

NBC usually handles that stuff for us in my area they covered the drag race crash that killed that one girl and toasted the other really bad even continue to update about the court cases really suprised it didnt ..... horrible to hear but maybe insurance will stick him in a nice comfy rubicon =0)
