My name is David,im looking at a 79 cherokee.The man said it had a week cylider.What could be wrong?

Possible worn Compression rings or The Valves are not seating properly or a Worn cylinder wall..

WOW that was quick.Thanx for the reply.So its not a good idea to get it as a daily driver. 20 mile a day round trip.

If your intent is just to buy it and jump in it to drive it right away, i would not recomend it.. if it was me, i would pull the engine out and give it a complete overhaul and then drive it..
