If youre mechanically inclined an average haynes manual avail at parts stores will suffice.

Another decent one -because it has the right pictures- is "How to maintain and repair your Jeep" I got mine years ago at Barnes and Noble. The combo of the two and my skills made it very simple - yet labor intensive - I did an 87 YJ..

Get a FSM (Factory Service Manual) for around $80 new. It'll more than pay for itself with the most detailed instructions you'll find anywhere.
