I keep getting puddles on the floor!!!!

I have a 95YJ with full doors and a hard top, I live in Vancouver so it does rain once in a while, anyone have any good ideas for keeping the inside dry?[addsig]

Take your floor plugs out it will help it dry out alot quicker. On the leak it could be the seal where the windshield meets the cowl.[addsig]

i do have the plugs out, but it still leaves things so damp, any idea on keeping things dry? Hell i've even thought about putting rice in the jeep.[addsig]

Take your carpet out and herculine the floor, I think it's probably the best thing I've ever done for my jeep. It makes clean up easy, you get the hose out and your done. [addsig]

Check the air intake thing behind the hood. I had the same problem in my CJ and had to get in there and there was a hole where the water was supposed to sit and evaporate. I put down some black silicone, let it dry, put some Duct tape over it and then put another coat of silicone over it and I'm dry as a bone! Tug is right though, it's damp ride, enjoy it![addsig]

I live in Vancouver too. I had problems with water getting in my 93 YJ. I found that the seam sealer located under your windshield frame where it meets the hood cracks over time and water gets in there. (Where the vertical part just under the windshield frame meets the horizontal part for the hood) Take a hose and run it on your hood just under your windshield frame and if water comes in you know where it's coming from. I resealed mine with black silicone. Other than that, it could be your windshield frame seal or where your doors seal to the windshield frame. I had too much of a gap between my door and windshield frame so I made seals down the sides of the windshield frame with silicone and it solved that problem. Water can also get in through the screws for your windshield frame and through your radio antenna mount. I resealed all those with silicone.[addsig]

I recently changed all my hardware over to stainless steel and noticed the water was coming in from the windshield hinges, it was coming thru the mounting holes. After I put the new ones on I used clear silicone aroung the hinges and no more water on the floor. :-D [addsig]
