I Hate Midas!

Today my gf's starter almost fell out of her bronco 2 (wouldn't start, made her late for work... yada, yada), she had the clutch replaced at Midas and they left the bolts loose, well actually they cross threaded one bolt in at an angle and left it in the bell housing sticking about an inch (got lazy with their impact gun I guess). Man... some ppl should not be allowed anywhere near a wrench!:x

Oh yeah, BTW they they charged her over $800 for the clutch service!

It aint just Midas, it's about any unscrupulous place when the have a woman come in. You should have been with her!!! Shame on you!!:lol::lol::lol:

I think you owe her some flowers............or better yet, get her a JEEP!!! Then you can fix it for her.

I hope that you took it right back for them to see there mistake?
This way you can make claims for repair to corporate later on.

Well they did the clutch service b4 we were together or I would of been all over it (I love to wrench when ever possible). Oh yeah I took it back to them told the "Asst Manager" what they did showed the +$800.00 work order and put on a good show . Went online and sent corporate a strongly worded email. They called her today and want to look at it on Saturday. Here is a pic I can't budge this bolt. Was able to tighten the lower on so it would engage the ring gear and start da truck that bolt was the only thing keeping the starter from falling out the other bolt was really really loose.
