Have a 91 yj,2.5 L engine,5 speed transmission. It appears that I have a leak some where in the hydraulic clutch system.Havent pinpointed the source of the problem, but I have to keep adding fluid to the reservoir, about every time I drive it for a length of time, does any one have any suggestions on how to go about troubleshooting this problem?
I assume it could be a seal that has gone bad, since the vechicle is 19 yrs old,is there a schematic of the clutch system any wheres, that would give me a clue as to where to look for potential problem areas in the system. Any input would be appreciated.

The hydraulic system on a YJ is not that bad to diagnose for leaks. Start at the pedal assembly, where the rod meets the pedal pivot. Look for any wet spots that maybe triclikng out of the master cylinder. If thats good, look at the housing of the master cylinder for wet spots and follow the line all the way to the bottom of the body to the bell housing of the transmission. If the leak is isolated within the bell housing, you will need a slave cylinder which requires the removal of the transmission.
