iv had this problem for a long time now and it doesnt really bother me except i need to fix it in otder to get the inspection sticker. my problem is the horn, it doesnt work, my guess is that the sensor on the steering wheel doent work so im probably going to just connect it to a different switch, my question is, are both of the horns under the hood connected to the same place, i have a 97 jeep wrangler, thank you

Yes, both horns are wired on the same circuit. One is a Hi note and the other is a Low note. Check the Horn relay and fuse#20 on the PDC first. If that's good, it's likely that the clockspring is at fault. The red and yellow wire on the clockspring is the switch signal circuit for the horns. If you ground this wire, the horn should sound off. You can either replace the clockspring or run a separate switch to fix the horn issues.

thanks, it is the clockspring so i just rewired it as you said and ran a separate switch for it.
