I cut most of my bumprettes off & welded a square tube to them with my 220 amp on board alternator welder. I capped it off, & welded some half couplings in . Now it's an air tank for my York OBA!

I am an experienced (Certified) welder, & anyone doing this type of pressure vessel welding should have knowledge of what it takes to make one safely!

NEVER DRIVE ON THE ROAD WITH PRESSURE IN THE TANK! Get rear ended & it might explode!
I have the draincock to let out the air after I'm done using it.

Homemade rocker protection, 4"x4"x.25" angle with a 2"x2" tube added as a stand-off, makes for a 6" skid on the bottom.

I made a trans. skid plate from the orig. one with some 1 1/2" tubing bent to clear the front drive shaft, just some slight mods and it works great. I have a rubicon express 5.5" long arm lift.

Forgot to mention my favorite mod. Not really a homemade mod., but for a cheap $2 bucks I wired my factory lockers to work in 4high as well as 4lo.

I made this. It's a monstrous tank shroud for my 20 gallon tank. I've made a group of other things. I'll post more pictures later.

My next project will be a stubby front bumper. That will be fun...

Here's another one, I removed my front fenders to fab some hood mounted ones. (3/4' EMT conduit & ductwork sheetmetal)

I even moved the marker lights to the hood.

The duraspark box got mounted just above the charcoal can on the firewall.

Problem, what to do with the coolant & windshield washer (WW) reservoirs?
Pepsi big slam bottles have just enough volume, & the big mouth opening just fits a 3/8 drive 13/16" spark plug socket.(be sure to remove the rubber insert, or you'll crush the filter)

That socket is the size of the screen filter in the stock WW tank. This filter releases the pump when turned counterclockwise.

The pump fits perfectly inside the base of the soda bottle, & they've been working nicely for two years now!

Yeah, he must have stock in PEPSI!!
But he can`t be a true redneck, because I didn`t see any duct tape
under the hood. :funny:
One thing is for sure, the bottle opener could come in handy at the
:cookout: or !!!

Made a spare tire mount for the bed of my MJ using acme rod, it was important to me that nothing protruded into the bed when the spare was removed.
