So I just bought a YJ back in July and I think it's time to dress/jack it up. It's a 4 cylinder, it has good pick up but a top speed of 65 or so. I want to put on good size tires with a lift, but I also want to keep close to the 20 mpg I'm getting now. I was thinking 31's on a 2 inch shackle, let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Michael, good looking Jeep ya got. First of all when you add taller tires it'll take away some of your gear. It'll gear the Jeep a little taller, 31's wont be terribal but you will notice a difference in power and may change top end speed. (Could be better or worse ) I think 31's would be the biggest tire I personally would run with the 4cyl. What kind of mileage are you getting now?
