Well Here I am. Sitting in a study area at the local Community College. My first day as a Full time student. Has been over 8 years since I was a full time student but hey what the heck hu? Tell you what I am pretty darn nervous. For what, I am not sure but it reminds me alot of when you are trying to get the guts up to ask a girl out that you have been eyeballing for awhile and for some reason you put her way out of you league. Thats about how I am feeling at the moment just with out the sweatiness. Well Here I go off to my first class Wish me luck guys as I turn this new page.

Best of luck to you. For what it's worth, my observation has been that those who take a break before returning to the educational system have a solid advantage. You're there because you want to be, not because it's expected of you, or you can't think of anything else to do. You also have acquired the maturity and discipline that age gives you. You're probably also not spending your time (a) trying to hook up, or (b) getting wasted. Again, good luck.

Well with half the day over with and the introductions made, the once daunting thought of college has subsided to a little less than an new relization of a new way of life for me. I also found that so far I am the only one Gas guzulling enough to drive a Jeep, let alone a "SUV" in my psyic class. Going to e a good and very rewarding exp. for which will hlp me thrive in an ever change world in which we live.
Thanks for the Support,

PS. don't I sound like I'm a college student, all deep with words that I had to use websters.com to verify their spelling, who woulda thunked :D

Congratulations! I hope to be joining you in that aspect in the near future, best of luck, and stick with it :)

Good for you man! Yer never to old to get an good edumacation.

Moased ekkelunt. I went back to school at 30 (give or take a yar) to take the paramedic class. 14 months of 8 hour classes a day, plus clinicals, internships, etc. As was mentioned before, though, going back at that age was much better, because I wanted to be there. I finished 3rd of 24 in my class.

I envy you....I'd still like to go back to school again, but after nearly 8 years of college, I've taken all the easy classes, so now I'd have to take a real class!

Best of luck!!

Man college was a great time. I wish I was heading back. If I knew what the real world actually was I would have stayed in for my Masters, Doctorite, 2nd degree, quadruple minor....stay in school :)

Heck yeah. I miss the comfort of school and not being involved in real life. I screwed up a lot in my 4 1/2 years there and I did things differently. I may have to go back to school for my masters if i get medically retired. I probably wouldn't get another job until i got my feet planted in grad school. Good luck.

yep, i just graduated. the real world sucks. i don't have any bills to pay now that i didn't have to pay before, but there just seems to be less to look forward to, like what the new freshman girls will look like on the first day of class....

Oh, yeah....I miss Spring Semester when the skirts started coming out on the first warm days!!!:D

or when it gets warmer the girls all lay out on the quad in their bikinis. Theres a great view from Rt 13

I'm just trying to stay outa trouble; we had to stand up and say what our major was, i said was going for fire science and was a fire fighter/emt-b now all ther girls remeber that and had a few trying to sit next to me to share a computer. It's funny they don't remeber my name but the remeber that I'm The fire fighter.
Going to be a good semester :D

Graduated one May (many years ago) and started college the next month. I spent more time in the student union than class, worked harder trying to pledge the local frat than studies, and found my self kicked out and in the USAF. Four years later, back to college and this time I was ready. Enjoy the experience.
