yeah so some vandals decided to break off one of my wheel studs ( i think thats what is called) its what the lug nuts bolt onto....i need to know if its somethng i can do myself or need a mechanic to do it for me...i need this done soon cause its my only mode of transportation...any help would be great..

so someone just pulled a wheel stud out? what about the wheels or lugs that were on it?

no actually they loosened the lug nut almost all the way and hit it with a hammer untill it snapped...and took a total of 4 lugnuts....the wheels are fine(no one would want to steal them...stock rims with balding tires) but they are on the rear axle

Real easy to do yourself, just drive the broken stud out the backside of the axleshaft flange with a hammer and punch. Then put the new stud in from the backside and, with a few washers under the lug nut, tighten the lug nut to pull the stud into the wheel flange.
