1997 TJ sport

First: It ONLY does this once in a blue moon.

Second: After getting fully warm the Engine will start sputtering and have no acceleration. It will Idle fine, but even when in neutral, if you press the gas pedal, it will choke out.

Third: O2 Sensor was replaced a few months ago.

Forth: Coolant was flushed out a few weeks ago and has already turned black, was green.

Fifth: The longer you allow the Engin to cool down the longer it will run before starting the cycle again.

Remember this isn't my Jeep. This is a 97 TJ that belongs to a friend of mine.

your cat conv may be plugged up... it is a problem that many people overlook... and it is usaully temp/time related, the longer it runs, the more pressure backs up in the system, and the catalyst works differently under different conditions... one way to check is to take out the O2 sensor... that will relieve the pressure which builds upstream from the cat... if it seems to run better, then that is a likely problem
