Hello everyone. My name is Rick and I'm in the Tampa Bay area on the central west coast of Florida. Thank you for having me. I just wanted to do a quick intro and share a couple of pics of my 33 year old YJ, appropriately named Old Dawg, and yeah, I'm kind of an old dawg too.
I've owned Old Dawg for about 4 years and it's been solid as a rock with the AMC designed 4.0 inline six and 5 speed manual transmission. It's not my daily driver, but it is my weekend fun vehicle. I took off the soft enclosure 4 years ago the day I brought it home and have only run with a bikini top and half doors ever since.
Right now we are in prime Jeep season here in Florida from December to May with temps in the upper 50's and 60's at night, and 70's and low 80's during the day. So during this time of year, we do a lot of adventuring and exploring in the Florida backcountry.
