4.10 vs 4.11 in a Tj

Hello. I have a question and I hope someone can help me out. I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler with a Soft Top. I'm looking to get a hard top for it. A friend of mine has a 2003 Hard top that he is willing to sell to me. Will the it be compatable with my jeep?

Also...do I have to actually buy hardware in order to attach the hard top or does it use kinda same hardware that is being used now to keep soft top attached. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

you will need to remove your Soft top. Not that it will not fit over the Softtop (in the down position) but you risk destroying the Soft top. Other than that he should give you the bolts and stuff that attach the hard top. Other than that you should be fine. do you have Full doors or 1/2 doors.

yeah, i would totally remove the soft top.
I have full doors. cool, so I shouldn't have buy any kind of kit to attach the top that's good to hear. thanks so much for your help

No prob. you will have to remove the Door surrounds also. and if you look at your Tub you will see the Mounting holes are already there. You may have to remove the Black Clips that are on each side of the Tailgate, but I am unsure about those.
