Happy Paragon Trails

A question though: Those pictures are of the Paragon "stocker" or "bunny-trails"???????

If so, HOLY MUD HOLE, Batman!!!!

having been there before, i would say some of those trails were classed a BLUE1 which is getting into modified vehicle territory... but doable stock if you are careful. the stocker trails (IE GREEN 1,2,3) don't have rocks that big on them... and rock swamp i believe is a BLUE1

Trails you stockers did,

Saturday.
Coal road -2wd
Turtle -green 2
Outer Spare -green 2
Haul road- 2wd
Valley - 2wd
Rubicon lake trail- green 2
Pipeline, and playground.

Sunday ( a bit harder )
Coal
Turtle
Logging road
Rock Swamp
Pipe line
Impossable Hill trail ( looked at the hill)
Valley

I did my best to keep it fun, No one ever said, I need a bypass.
You Did very well, and I hope You understand the limits of your jeeps better.

Trail map http://www.paragonap.com/trailmaps.htm in color.

"The mud hole" was right after the river crossing on outer spare tire.

The Grand Cherokee was out of line doing the jump, But before anyone knew what he did it was done.
Theres alot of things I would of liked to shown you, But we just had no time.
You did see,
Use of a high lift
Winching ( with a tow strap wraped around the cable) safety first.
Airing tires down
On board air
On-board welding (sunday only)
Alot of Spotting and what happends when you don't listen.
And a tow / snatch line recovery ( bruce with laura recovery )

So I had some pics Here, of White up that rock on Sunday. They seem to have some sequence to them.

Its 3 pics onna page, so it might take a while to load.

yeah, your skid plate is pretty shiny, hehe very definted in the one i'm holding

I was just thinking, it would have been cool if we got a pic of your front tire coming off the rock.

Ohio Wheelin...???

LOL @ Laura's pics.

Man Tom those are great in that order, you must say so. First one your studious, like "what's my approach here". Second one your smiling big like "HUAH". Third one your sorta looking like "Umm, should I be worried that my tire is several feet in the air?". LOL

That was a great trip and like you said I learned alot, I loved seeing all the winching, snatching, mods on other vehicles and limitations of ours along with others. I think you all did an excellent time picking and planning our trails and I can't wait to go again either. I have just GOT to have onboard air someday, along with a zillion other things.

Excellent time for all, very luck to be a part of jeepz.

I wish I stuck around for sunday, and got to see some roll-over recovery! Whats that Tom, you didn't roll over? JK That chevy doesn't flex much?
Tom and Mike were excellent trail spotters, and thanks for getting me through the deep stuff! I just wish you guys didn't egg me on to jump into the mud so quick hehe.
I told you that the pinion Yoke wasn't going to hold that well, but at least you got to do weld something! All of us from boston are definatly gonna come down again, hope to see ya!

Just wanted to drop you all a line to let you know I'm all right, and thank the guides for helping the stockers. It is MUCH appreciated. I hope you all had fun, and it was at least what you were expecting. I keep telling you a'' what a great place Paragon is.

Talk to you all later,

Rob 8) :P :)

It will flex the rear a little more, but all the weight is on that front passenger tire. My limit is the stock shock length.
Maybe i should list my mods....
Johhny, I had to see if you could get through that mud hole.
I was running out of things that would be challanging for a yj on 33s.
Thankyou for the universal , Would you believe the yoke broke in a diffrent spot then it was already welded. Now its been welded twice.
He made it home, and it will be under-going some surgery.
But Ill let mike tell you that.
What trails are your modified's going to be doing ?
