Well I've officially owned the jeep for a week so it was time to start working on it. This morning it looked like this...

And after going through this

It looks like this!

We ran out of energy and time. Put the axles and lift from my wrecked 4banger under there, so I have 33's and 4.10 gearing which is nice. Also reversed the shackle reversal because I didn't like it. Bumpers and the black rims should finish off the look. Best part is 30 minutes after we finished, I packed up and drove 3 hours back to my college dorm.

Very nice work! Can't help but notice in the second picture where the front axle is removed, the rear wheel chock wasn't at the tire. I'm hoping you didn't have any problems with the Jeep or engine lift rolling out of place. That would've made for a quick shot of adrenaline!

What did you have to do to reverse the shackle reversal?

Yeah the jeep was in gear but not chocked. We never crawled under it like that. Removed all the bolts then lifted it off the axle, leafs and all. The opposite for putting the new axles back in, just put them under and lowered the jeep down on top of them and tightened everything back up.

To reverse the shackle reversal we cut the leaf hangars off my old red wrangler and welded them in on the white one. Measure 50 times to cut and weld once, but the it turned out very nice
