i finally settled on a 2.5" lift. it was between bds, rubicon express, and ome. i bought the ome today. 
also, i have been fighting internally over buying a v8 for my jeep (well, internally and cristina was also fighting against it) because i am really cheap (pinche) and couldn't get myself to throw down 500 bucks for an engine when all my stuff is good. i have been talking with the guy because i help him work on his trucks and its in one of his vehicles he was going to part out, he offered it to me first at a greatly reduced price (500 for the engine, trans, and t-case and the engine is complete from carb to pan to alternator and power steering and air conditioning stuff) i told him i was having issues with the money because 1) i don;t like to spend money like when my stuff is good, and 2) the wife said if i spend that much on me, she wants the same amount. he laughed and said he knew, his wife was the same way. has a bunch of coach purses and expensive shoes and junk she never uses. i said me too, cristina has 8 juicy coture purses and every color of jessica simpson heels and all kinds of jewelry. he said how about you give me half in a few weeks, then half a few weeks after that so the wife doesn't want so much at a time. i said serious? he said sure, because i help him mess with his trucks and help him on the computer and stuff.
so, i am getting my v8 swap and lift!!!!!!!
