Got my new 20 gal gas tank thanks to a bad driver

My poor 88 yj was violated by a bad driver a few weeks back. When I picked my baby up from the body shop much to my surprise they told me they had to replace my gas tank so they orderd a 20 gal steel tank. My old one was plastic and after the crash the exhaust pipe rested against it and melted a whole. Sucks at the gas pump though $38.00 to fill it. Not used to that.

Shoulda had 'em use a 20gal plastic, hope the steel tank doesn't corrode soon.

Try filling a 32 gallon tank and the motor it supplies to is a stroked 335. that stinks!

I live in Florida. No road salt in the winter for me. That is why I left IL. Nothing like pink roads when they salt. I have had my DD for 12yrs down here, not a lick of rust.

All I can say is park it in the garage for a while or sell it. That would kill me to see at the pump.

Started off in chicago, thats my birth place I am a true chicago'n. Then moved out to the burbs. Stayed in the village of rosemont for a while family is still there then lived in palatine for about 12 years.
