I put a 2 inch Skyjacker lift in, it was about $164 bux from my buddy. It look about mmmm 6 hours to complete. Started on the front and it gave me an ass ake. The rear however went together like gang-busters. Depending on what size tires he gets....probably 31's so it doesnt look stupid like a roller skate, he may need to trim the inside front bumper. After I put the larger tires on I tested the steering out and heard the tire scrapping the bumper. I trimmed a liberal amount, not getting crazy, took it for a ride and had to trim a little more. My rims are offset by about an inch so if your bro is going to use his stock rims he may not need to worry about trimming. I hope you found some sort of knowledge in this and it helps.... let me know.

Yeah, hes actually looking for some steel black rims with 31" MTRs. But I don't think rubbing will be an issue cause it looks like hes going for the 3" lift. Did you use a spring compresser to do the front springs? I know it can be done without a compresser if you drop the axle totally, but I was curious... never lifted anything with coils before.

I dont think it's possible to have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern on a 70 anyway, theres no way. You need to set your friend straight too, next thing you know Wranglers are gonna come stock with rockwells

Ok, I didnt say I was 100% on that rear, I'll find out tomorrw and let you know.

Ya, it most likely has the chrystler (sp?) rear in it. D70's are usually 8 lug.....and would look HUGE on that Jeep

you are so right my friend, I checked today and found out it is a Dana 30, guess I multiplied by 2 then added 10 for some reason. Getting old makes my memory not so...accurate.

Just a note, your front axle is a Dana 30. The rear could be an aluminum Dana 44, a Dana 35, or a Corporate 8.25
