Hi, i am looking into swapping the new GM Vortec 4200 4.2L I6 (LL8) into my 84 cj7. I am looking for any information anyone may have to help me out. has anyone done a swap like this before? I would like to find out if there are any adapters available to bolt the t-5 transmission to the Vortec 4200 4.2L I6 (LL8)? any info would be very helpful. thanks a lot.

Advanced Adapters might have something to make the swap possible. but instead of bolting the 4.2 to your t-5,get a GM trans that will fit that motor and then get an adapter to fit it to your transfer case.[addsig]
