GM in talks to buy Chrysler (Jeep)

Wow, I didn't know they made a Jimmy that cost that much!

Yeah, I was in a different state at the time, and the then girlfriend was under the impression that the MSRP is a good deal  (needless to say I did the negotiating on the truck we replaced it with)

Though it sounds pretty reasonable now, as you'll drop well over 30K on the same trim level

No my feelings aren't hurt, I realize you don't have any taste in vehicles.

Sure I do. They just quit making the last good one in 06 (the TJ) lol. Actually there are a few vehicles out there that look good, but as a whole, looks have gone down hill.

man you are right there.

As a whole the auto industry lost all the good designers like Harley Earl.
They used to be innovators, but lately it seems some automakers have changes just for the sake of changes.

I think we will see and I am already seeing some glimmer of hope, but for about 20 years, it was a dry spell.

I was always a GM man, but my work truck is a Chevy and it is a piece of s--t. I found out 2 days ago that I'm getting a new work truck, it is a ford and i cant wait to get it.

So the tab is:
Crappy '98 Jimmy (including 4 years interest): 29,000
Upside down cash (including interest through the following loan): 9,700
Repairs on CC (plus interest over 3 years): 10,300
Total: $49,000 for 4 years use of a moderately equipped GMC Jimmy
Fuzzy math

I have had a Chevy S10, a GMC Sonoma, a Pontiac Sunbird, and a chevy malibu. These vehicles ranged from the '82 Malibu to a 1997 Sonoma. Since then just the Chevy 2500HD (Which is at my disposal but owned by my father-in-law) and I can say that out of them all were great vehicles.

WHen I bought my Unlimited the other option was a Colorado 4x4 with the inline 5 cyl motor, but selfish me thought it overkill to have 2 trucks in the driveway when we could have 2 Jeeps in the driveway

I'd buy a GM vehicle again without a second thought. Heck, I guess now that could have a Jeep label on it down the road a few years...

It does seem the auto makers are turning alot of the offroad style vehicles into station wagons though. Lifted Vista Crusers
