I want to do a HEI upgrade for my stock distributor, any feedback, and how easy is it to do yourself, any instructions?

Oops that sometimes helps 4.2L 6 cyl. I have already replaced my stock weber with a 3100 motorcraft carb and think the distributor will really help. I am about to put on a Borla header, High Flow Cat, and a flowmaster muffler as well.
