i'm ready to buy a 3" lift for my jeep cherokee limited... and i'm wondering whether or not i can get away with buying an add-a-leaf or if i should buy a complete rear leaf spring assembly... take a look at the pics of my jeep on the link... i don't know where stock heighth is, or if mine is already there... possibly my rear leaf's are okay still... thanks in advance!

Stock height on my ex's '96 is 30.5 inches in the rear and 31 inches in the front.

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender flairs, centered at the lug nuts(if that makes sense)she has 225/75/15 tires too.

the neighbor has a '87 that is 1 inch taller all around and he has 235/75/15[addsig]

ok thanks man... that gives me a little to work with...

measuring from the floor (of my flat, level garage) to the bottom of the fender flare...

Right Front - 30.75"

Left Front - 30.50"

Right Rear - 29.30"

Left Rear - 28.75"

looks like i have sagged a little bit...

I had stock leafs with 105K on them. I used the Rusty's 3" AAL's and mine seems to be okay. With just ordinary driving it has settled to right at about 3.25" higher than it was. Make sure you have at least a 6" C clamp for the install.

By the way don't attach your spring clamps until after you have installed them and lowered the weight of the jeep back on them. I went with two, one in the front of the axle to hold the smallest leaf from possibly sliding out of postion and hitting the tire. The other on the 3rd leaf to the rear so it wouldn't have such a big gap in the leaf. I put them on first then installed them and it gave me close to a 4.5" lift, but it didn't feel right on the road, took thme off and redid them and it handle great.[addsig]

ok... now that the lift is done, i'd just like to add that each measurement is now 32.75", with the same tires.[addsig]
