What everyone has to realize is this: Guns dont kill people. Its the F***ing idiots who pull the trigger with no remorse. I have a concealed weapons permit for just this reason. You never know what some crackhead is going to do. I want to be able to protect my family if the need arises. If they start banning guns, the first people they will come after is the law abiding citizen who has done everything by the book and legal. That still won't get the "illegal" guns off the streets. All it will do is leave the criminals with the upper hand.:x

They have been "banning" guns for years now.

New York, Chicago, now DC

Even with your and mine permit, look at all of the places we are banned from taking them

with the assault weapons ban back in Clintons day, wow, no mags bigger than 10 rounds and no bayonets.
Man, that "ban" put a stop to drive my bayonetings right away didn't it?
 

What ban I was referring to was voting to ban guns completely. Basically stripping us of our 2nd amendment. It is true that a concealed weapons permit isnt really as effective as it could be. There are a lot of restrictions as to when and where you can carry, but for the MOST part its common sense as to why you cant carry them there.
 
I know where you are coming from, I just wanted you to know that there is already restrictions (infringement) all over the country that is against the 2nd Amendment and has been for years.
 
Marijuana and many other drugs are banned but that doesn't stop the illegal folk from trafficking and selling now does it. What makes them think by restricting us even more that it will effect the idiots that use guns in the wrong manner? They need to wake up. I guess the George Washington and his merry bunch only used their guns to shoot food.

KJ, I think something more sinister is working for the long haul rather than just banning "assault" style guns to and working to keep criminals from buying guns by making the good guys jump through hoops to buy one.

Nobody please forget what happened to private firearm ownership in Australia and Great Britain. To say is will never happen here is a mighty bold statement to defend.
 
Most of the Gun Control idiots are wealthy enough to have armed body guards...so what do they care? Does Rosie O'Donnell ring a bell?

Every State which has enacted Conceal and Carry laws have seen drastic drops in gun related crimes.
