GenRight: What should Tony build next?

Our President and Founder, Tony Pellegrino "decommissioned" The Growler a few weeks ago.

So now it's time for him to build a new Jeep. The Growler was his first Jeep, so he was sad to see it go, but I know he's excited about building something new.

But he needs some help figuring out what to build. What would you suggest to Tony as his next Jeep?

Personally I'd like to see a zj grand cherokee. You could start with v8 power from the factory, and go from there. Unibody stiffeners, cage, coilovers...could lead to some neat products.

I would have to agree, we all have seen too many "wrangler" builds lately and the prospect of seeing another buggy, or bolt on wrangler doesn't seem to inspire much creativity, but a zj build might be interesting. Most of these late model jeeps are coming to their end of life as a grocery getters and now are starting their life as a low cost starter platform for the younger GENeration of off roaders. Many of my local jeeping club are finding the ZJ a great dual purpose jeep, with room enough for camping equipment and space to haul the kids, and a DD with attitude. The secondary market is still kind of weak in this sector, With a major player in the SEMA market Gen-right could help pave the way showing what could be done with this platform.

WK Hemi with a solid axle swap. Much better looking that a ZJ and better platform to start with.
