gas... stolen :/

yeah i filed a police report and they said thiefs usually just poke holes in the tank, oh well i hope whoever did it got a mouth full of gasoline out of it lol im not sure how siphoning works but i think you have to suck the air out of the tube before it will flow and i could see how that could result in gas breath

Thats one way to do it. The safer way is to blow air into the tank and the pressure will start the siphon. Had a full sized bronco with a 33 gal tank I was trading in and I was dammed if they were getting a full tank.

Lol

I traded a Mazda in once that I wasn't sure was going to make it to the dealership. It was either going to breakdown or run out of gas. Lol. We made it, but it wouldn't start after we got there. I think it was bc it was out of gas... Mayb. Lol

On our work fleet of pick up trucks, the locking caps caused more problems that they solved.

When the thieves came last time, they cut the hose between the filler and the tank to get past the locking caps. The cut hoses, which are shaped and expensive, cost us about $125 each to replace plus a couple hours of lost time.:x

remember when people were taking hack saws to the front end of some sports cars just to get the headlights out to sell em? shame

That damage is the reason I never lock anything in my jeep. I'd rather have the lid on my console opened than torn loose.

Same here. Sucks you lost your gas. Here in the mountains I don't worry about theft, tho I know there are thieves here, too. Just don't keep anything valuable in it (other than the gas!!).

the most valueable thing in mine is a jump box first aid kit and fire extinguisher, not much money to be made there lol

Being a gun nut my self and also a machinist (we are pretty crazy people) I always envisioned making a one shot device that installs in the horn button and when someone tries to steal the car without punching a scred code.....boooooom a 40 cal, hollow point round meets the perp's forehead. Now that is what a call "bait car". Forget the viper, something like that can be made for about $50.00 and the system can be reloaded for about $.25........ Sorry guys, I was just having coffee this morning and day dreaming... Have a great day.

not a bad idea lol maybe a mace nossle or a tazer instead, dont get me wrong i love guns but that would be ine hell if a mess to scrub out of your interior

It is a jeep thing....just hose it down and it get clean....LOL it is called thinning the herd. They get over mace or teaser guns, they will NEVER get over a 40 cal.... Lol. Getting ready to start packing. It was nice being home for two days. This will be short trip, will be back Friday evening.

IDK, I don't think I have ever gotten over my experience with CS and CN gas. That sh1t still burns hours later. The only thing that makes it better is pouring cold water over you. It hurts to have your eyes open. It hurts to have them closed. Every inspiration hurts from your mouth to your diaphragm. All exposed skin feels burnt. Extreme uncontrollable eye tearing, not to mention pain if you try to wipe the tears away (bc that stuff is on your hands and it irritates your eyes more if you get your hands near your face). Incessant salivation. Incessant nasal drainage (again, remember to not get your hands near your face or your eyes will get worse, so no wiping the nose, either). Ugh! I need to go shower now, I'm having flashbacks and my skin is burning. Lol

I bought one for myself as well, a while back. My wife laughed when I bought it but then she said, "Well, with the way you drive and **** people off, I'm surprised nobody has tampered with yours yet!"

I had this happen to me a month ago so i installed a stop valve from a sprinkled kit the ones were you turn the valve open and close. It seems to do the trick since most people dont know how to get behind the fender on my tj
