Gas Leak

I have gas leaking out of the top of the fuel pump where the line to the carb screws in. I have tried a new fuel pump and a new fuel line there. Does anyone have any idea why it is leaking and any ideas on how to fix it? I thought about using Teflon tape to wrap the threads but a mechanic told me that would not be a good idea. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

What did your mechanic have in mind for a fix?-Is the flare on the fuel line damaged?-are you positive after replacing the pump and the line that that IS where its coming from. Sounds to me like you have twisted the fuel line possibly damaged the flare on it.

I didnt think to ask. Would have made since though. I put a new fuel like on as well.
