its usually not good to get brand as a tattoo.
what if you sell your wrangler in the future? sometimes, as regretful as it is, you have to sell a vehicle to move forward in your life and you are stuck driving something else for a few years, or you even move onto something else because you grow in a way you did not foresee your self going. getting that as a tattoo seems cool now but might not be so cool in the future. a tattoo is serious business and represents something that is deep and meaningful in your life, a vehicle usually does not fall into that category enough to get it etched into your skin forever.
what if you get into air cooled VWs in a few years, or into hyper-mileage vehicles? that tattoo will definitely require explaining at the car club meets and bbqs.
i'll tell you about mine.
i have this:
its been my nickname since i was a freshman in high school. i have been called super j in high school, the army, college, and the 10 years i have worked as a civilian for the army. i have been called super j by someone, regularly, since i was 15 years old. i am now 36.
i have also been a surfer since i was a freshman in high school too. and actually been body surfing since i was 4 years old and learned in hawaii.
this tattoo:
is waves going around the chinese character for ocean. even now, i live within 1/4 mile of the ocean and hear, see, and smell it daily. i no longer surf because skin cancer from so many days out on the water with no shirt or sunblock, but i still love the ocean.
i also got a new one recently, Cristina, in a nice curvy lettering. for my beautiful wife, Cristina. we have been married almost 14 years and she is still as beautiful as she was when she was 18.
