Front axle repair

Well my 2001 has 18,722 miles on her and she's marking the drive way( bad Jeep!).
The passenger side front axle seal went by- by( an it didnt even tell me it was leaving...how rude).
So I took her to the Doctors (stealership) for a little warrenty work( gotta love that free repair stuff).
6 Hour's of surgey they had to replace all the bearing due to pitting. Both axle seal's and filled her up with new gear oil.
But they did jip me out of a free car wash here...I am going to write an un-happy review this time.
Now with only 18722 miles? am I a little hard on the dana 30 or what?
I know I take my jeeping to the extream by going rock crawling but 18,722 miles? Come on now...it should have lasted till June when the warrenty was up!

Do you hit much sand? That's probably what did it, but it does sound a bit soon. You may take a look at getting those external grease seals that go inboard of the axle ujoint, forget who makes them. Helps keep muck out of the axle tubes where it's impossible to get out during normal maintenance.
