Over a month ago, I posted about an electrical problem with the twin 55 watt lights mounted on my safari rack.
I kept blowing the 15 amp fuse out from the relay to the constant battery power supply.
I tried everything, even went to the battery with a 10 guage wire straight through the firewall to the relay. Which is really how it is supposed to be anyway.
Before I was taking my constant 12 vlts from the fuse panel.
After tracing and checking everything I could under the dash. I cut the wire spicing in both of the lights and just wired one light at a time and .....BINGO!
I had ran the wires to the pass side light inside of some plastic tubing and wiretied it to the basket frame. Somehow a solder joint rubbed through the insulation on the ground wire just enough to make a dead short.
God it is good to find that gremlin
