Hmmm. Seen this before.

Acute halogen lightitis. Not sure if there is a cure, but at least there is a bright side.

Looks great Sparky - question....why does your night pics show 4 round lites up top with the 2 center ones being bigger or brighter, but your #7 post shows 4 rectangular lites in the same spots? Probably my west-coast destined computer, eh? LBR

Just a little camera glare. I was standing with the camera directly in line with the focal plane of the lights on top, causing them to appear brighter, and thusly making them look bigger and round. The two in the center are aimed mostly forward, while the two on the sides are aimed more to the sides of the roads and ditches (my deer spotters).

After looking at post #7 for a while longer, the answer to my own question must be the lens fluting. Funny tho....if you were to have posted only the night pics with those lites lit and polled the membership if they were rectangular or round, 99% of us would have said round. Wierd. LBR

Yup, I bet you're right. Another thing I confirmed with those pics that I've suspected for a while is that the camera ain't straight. See how the jeep appears to lean to one side? After the first pic I took using the monitor on the back of the camera, I noticed that, so the next one I made sure everything was square on the screen.....still came out crooked......POC HP cameras.
