fog light install, how much of a pain is it?

I just ordered myself fog lights, and a fog light switch for the dash. How much of a pain is it to wire and setup?

Also, I was able to swipe a soundbar from a friend who no longer wanted it. One problem, the audio/light wire has been removed. What am I getting myself into to find a replacement wire?[addsig]

Should come with a set of prints to show where to hook each wire for the fogs. Hot and ground switch battery and lights. If the lights are good ones with some real power you may need a relay. Let us know what sort of lights you are getting and that will help us to ehelp you, I can't help with the sound bar I have not used one, but should be ez enough just open er up and look inside. Electronics, let me shine. What year is your Jeep?
If it is a YJ, and didn't have a sound bar to begin with, look under the glove box, on the under dash lip, The speaker wires are under there in a looped, and terminated plug. Just cut, test, and wire to the sound bar. (this is assuming you have the factory radio or the audio system has not been extremely violated) As for the fog lights, use the instructions, don't cut any courners, Use the supplied relay, if there is not one, run down to the autopart store and purchase a auxilary lighting wiring kit (pretty cheap anout $10) [addsig]

I purchased a set of rectangular mopar fog lights, unfortunately they did not come with instructions. I was wondering if I need to run new wire from the foglight switch to the foglights, or splice an already existing wire. I was also wondering where I should mount the lights. When I purchased my wrangler, it had the chrome kit on the grill and front bumper. I noticed that there are 2 bolts in the front bumper that fasten the chome on the bumper, do I take them out and put my fog lights there?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. BTW, I have a 94 YJ wrangler.[addsig]

You will need to wire the lights your self. there is no wire already under the dash.
First here is how you wire the switch
If you are looking at the switch like it is in the jeep.
-the top male spade terminal goes to ground
-the middle wire will be connected to the parking light cicut which is a black and yellow wire off the back of the head light switch
- the bottom wire goes to the proper terminal on the for light relay which will be in the kit that you will buy![addsig]

sorry but I typed this whole thing out and got access denied and now i have to retype so that is why it is in pieces so please deal??

You will need ot go to auto zone or napa and buy an auxillary lighting kit with a relay, it is essential that it has a relay!

Wire the lights as described in the directions that come with the wiring kit. Except you are going to subsatute your own switch which will be wired as I mentioned.

To connect to the back of the switch go to th enearest hardware store and pick up female spade connectors. bring the switch and test fit to make sure they are snug.[addsig]

As for mounting the switch.
I would recomend that you remove the driver side dash. It will make life so much easier and your back will thank you!
When you remove the black pannel where the switch will go, turn it over. You will see where you have to cut to mount the switch. You can use a utility knife, it will cut very easy. (When you accually look at this pannel, it will be painfully obvious where it goes. The switch will go in the hole all the way to the left (if you are looking at the pannel as though it is in the jeep.

As for mounting the light. Those holes that are in the front of the bumper are for factory end caps and ironicly fog light brackets. these came on old larado's, saharas and I think the rio grande's. I know you can purchase these parts from a dealer(because I did). Makes for a nice install. These parts can be a little pricey so if you want, you can just drill a hole in the bumper and mount them there.

Hope this helps, please email me or what ever if you have any questions![addsig]
