after 7 years finally starting work on my jeep, new body bushings, fuel tank, fenders, hood, windshield, weatherstrips brake lines. trying to decide on lift and tires and wheels, it is gonna be red pc pr4
any opinions on what color would look good with red besides black and buckskin for hard top

welded a patch panel in on right side, floor pan, side panel and seat belt pillar had a good bit of rust in it, repaired all those at the same time with new sheet metal. Stripped it all down to bare metal welded up the running board holes on both sides, etched primed it, did some bondo and putty work and got it primed. Had a few rust repairs on the frame, pressure washed the chassis three times then applied por-15 I highly recommend the product it seems to bond very well to bare metal. decided to go with a 2 1/2 lift as soon as funds are available. still have to get a new carb, thinking about getting the weber conversion 34/34.
I have most of the new panels painted on the inside still gotta cut the raidiator support in. new hard brake lines are installed, fuel tank, and body bushings, still waiting on braided lines from morris 4x4. gonna put fenders and rad support on next week
also working on the front bumper no pics of it yet.

Kind of, I've worked at this body shop for about 13 years and the boss has been letting me keep my jeep there while im working on it. the project has been taking awhile with two jobs t-ball and what not. I thought I had a color picked out but still undecided.
the initial plan was to just paint, but much rust and body repair later with new parts its coming together

finally picked a color inferno red mettalic,
got the inside painted and the new brake lines on, the paint looks alot different in the pictures it is darker in person
also added pull rings to my bumper im trying to decide whether or not to add bars on top of the bumper, and if i do should they be square tubing or pipe

WOW... I wish we had such clean jeeps around here to start with. I see 03 and 04's with rust and rot. as for the D-ring shackles, it you actually intend on pulling stuff, please make sure that the shackle goes completely through the bumper to both side and is welded up real good. people have been killed from projectile d-rings due to improper installation.

as for the color, I really like it. for your complementry color, I would go with a kakhi tan. ( I guess that would be buckskin ??)

the d-rings are ornamental i welded them on with a mig so the weld is not nearly as good as arc welding would have been, the wife really wants the khacki color, but i think a dark silver or gray would look good, my rims are gonna be black, just want it all to match

a few more parts are painted

the new lift kit installed 2.5 in. 31 10.50 15 cooper discoverer stt tires
black rock viper wheels
this was my first suspension lift install on a jeep not to bad, springs were a little aggravating and i had to grind off half the bolts, but it is done now. the jeep is sitting a little higher than i thought it would, i do like the stance though.

everything done except the hardtop, still trying to make up my mind on color or line-x. I've been to busy driving it to worry alot about the top in all honesty.
for those who may call this a road queen as soon as it rains it will get muddy we've had about 2 inches of rain since march . its almost july now.
thanks for the comments and happy jeeping.
