... how much money we spend on our jeeps and/or jeep paraphernalia? Being 17 with low income i try not to think about it but the thought occured to me last night as i lay in bed. Since Feb. I've spent roughly $2,500 on her. If you go all the way back to last august the grand total is $3300. That means in a little over a year 3.3k has gone into my jeep not including gas. I know people who bought their cars for less than i got my seat covers for and haven't put a dime into them since they got them. A scary thought right? I guess i am just tryin to see how i rank on the "i obssess over my jeep meter".

I keep receipts for every upgrade and major fix over $25, I don't count general maintenance though.
that way when and if I decide to sell, I know what I have in it verses what it will bring.

I tried doing the same. Keeping track of everything i put into the jeep. After a couple years it just got depressing. I knew I would never get half out of her what I put in.

Tried to keep up as well, I haven't really sunk much into the XJ but the YJ is astronomical. I would say almost 5k since last November which is more than I paid for it.

My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy for having jeep upgrades in my monthly budget. But hey she has a monthly savings for retirment now thats just crazy talk

thats a good idea, thats the way I am with Gun and Jeep stuff. It's funny cause like 3 months later she will be like. When did you put that on, or when did you get that? and I tell her babe, it has been there or i have had that forever.
oh, let see the last 6 month, 2"lift, super nerfs, ARB bumper, body repair, fog lights. know there is other stuff, but can't remeber now.

I try not to think about how much I have put into my jeep as well. But to this date I have well over 9800$ in add ons not including some of the body armor that I have made. I guess my jeep lives up to the ole saying....

"Just empty every pocket".​

Kidding. I keep all receipts but know better than to add them up. I probably couldn't sell it for more than $15k, but wouldn't take less than $20,000 only because since the last major overhaul, it is one BAMofo!

I'm stuck alright. I'll never get rid of it. Especially since riding HotSprings on the trail called Impossible where we spanked it. I already promised my 6 month old son he could have it when he turned 16. By then I will probably have my Gladiator built.

I tend to hide/destroy the receipts, too. On some things, I'll tell Sunshine up front that I'm getting them, but others, I just wait for her to notice. When she asks how much they cost, I tell her, "Not near as much as you would think" and then change the subject. Just off the top of my head, it's approaching $4500, which isn't far from what I paid for it originally. Dang, it's scary how all the little things add up! Of course, I included the new top from when the original got ripped off in the wind, and I got screwed on that, having to pay over $600, and that's with insurance paying 50%. Then add in wheels, tires, bikini top, upper window sliders, electric fan, stereo, speakers, soundwedges, seat covers, light bar, auxiliary lighting, lift, CB, center console, two or three windshields, hi-lift jack and accessories.....dang, so much more I can't think of right now.

Well as of yesterday $3,400 since last august. I completely forgot about my new top but my parents bought that when hail tore my other one up so i guess i can't really. I don't tell my parents when i'm going to buy anything for my jeep it upsets them. My gf knows it makes me happy so she encourages me to spend away!
