Engine ticking

Ok so my 2014 wrangler started the infamous ticking sound recently. I changed my oil and added a bottle of rislone to try and quiet the lifter. It didn’t work. This is a really easy fix but you have to remove so much to get to them. The mechanic I took it to acted like it wasn’t a big deal but everything I’ve read says fix it immediately. Curious of what others opinions are.

If this is the issue where the rocker loosens and falls off. There is not much other you could do. Just be glad you caught it before irreparable damage is done.

What did your mechanic advised to do?

I replaced all the lifters and rockers. The mechanic said he would drive it like that. But after looking into the problem deeper the only option seemed like replacement asap. $2100 later it’s fixed and the knocking is gone.

well fuk me...
I have the infamous engine tick in my 3.6l... bought it that way actually. Highly doubt I could get the 'stealer' to do anything about it.
About $2,100 huh... thank god Christmas isn't around the corner... wait, well fuk me harder! :lol:
