electric oddities on TJ 2003 4 0 liter rubicon

So, the Jeep wouldnt start yesterday. I had a spare battery and used it, started and ran fine, guage showed 14 volts like it was charging. My wife started and drove it twice today, ran fine. We went to go somewhere and when we opened the door the guages were racking back and forth like they were posessed ! And it wouldnt start ! Ant ideas on where to start? Thanks guys .

First thing I would do is check for bad or loose connections starting at the battery terminals.

Engine off battery should be 12.6v engine running 11.4v. Yes clean battery terminals and connections. Also clean the othe sides of the ground connections to the body and engine.


Yes it soundalike a bad ground connection.
