Door problem

Hello all- new user Steve here. Nice forum with lots of good info- I'm glad I found it! We have a 1993 Cherokee Laredo (175k+). This is my son's first vehicle and we've run into a problem with the driver's side front door. The bolts holding the latch mechanism inside the door came loose and 1 or 2 fell out. This happened before and we replaced them and thought everything was OK. Apparently the same thing happened again and I got a call last night from him telling me the door won't close anymore (latch that is). He must have been having problems with it properly closing off and on for some time. He then told me he had the Jeep to Vo-tech Friday. The teacher saw the latch area getting pretty banged up and said that the door was now toast. Teacher also noticed some up and down play in the door and mentioned something about bushings being shot? Anyway, I haven't seen this in the light of day, as he brought it home last night, but he had to wire the door closed to make it home. I don't know how damaged the latch area is, but it sounds pretty severe. I don't have photos at this time.

If I go to replace the door, which is what it sounds like I'll have to do, what year range am I looking at that will be able to fit this '93? Any tips anybody could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks...Steve

Here's a picture of the busted door latch mechanism. Apparently the up/down play in the door caused this to not hit the piece on the frame it should latch on squarely, this caused the bolts to loosen over time and the metal to start tearing away on the lower right bolt.
