Do you think the LJ's will be sought after like the CJ8's are one day?

Do you think the LJ's will eventually be what the CJ8 is nowadays just for the fact they were only made for a two and a half years?

Probably. I would loved to have one and would have bought one had they still been in production. I like the idea of more room without the extra doors.

I would have bought one too if it would fit in my tiny garage.

I wonder if people will start bobbing them they way they did the Scramblers. You'd essentially have a TJ with a 10" longer wheelbase.

We have a waiting list for them at the dealership. People have out 20,000 down just waiting for them to come in on trade.

I love my LJ. Those extra few inches go a long way. I wasn't sure I wanted it when I was looking at it on the lot, but I couldn't be happier. Well, the one thing that would make me happy is pushbutton droptop. It's a little arm tiring to put the top up on a jeep LJ with 4" lift all by myself. Lol

All depends on how far away from the production date you get. I see more CJ8's than I do CJ6, but jeep made twice as many CJ6 as it did CJ8's.

That said

Jeep made a total of 50,172 CJ6's over a 26 year production run (american distribution only)
Jeep made a total of 27,792 CJ8's over a 5 year production run
Jeep made a total of 46,492 LJ's over a 3 year production run, this includes both rubi and non rubi models.

As more and more vehicles age, we see less and less of them. I was chatting with a friend the other day and it was mentioned, remember the days when you couldn't drive to the corner store with out seeing a Iroc camaro or Fox-body mustang. I almost never see them anymore. only a matter of time till you almost never see a YJ or TJ on the road.
