one of the two the bolts that hold distributer cap is broken off and rather then drill it out i rather pull the post and recplace it with a performance one. if there is such a thing haha do any one have any ideas? i like a stronger one if possible, because when in the rain sometimes she gets sooky and looses spark and cuts out and then i got to use wire dyer. i would like to relpace it with proformace one. but i dont know what brands is the best. also when i am pulling it out how do i go about doing it? do i have to pul her on TDC? do any one have a drawing to dummy proof it for me haha thanks in advanced

Dunno about the performance upgrade but if you do decide to pull the entire unit out, set the timing at TDC compression stroke. Verify this by looking at the position of the rotor in the distributor, that it's pointing at # 1 position. Note the position of the base of the distributor to the block( If possible, Use a white paint to mark a line on the block to the distributor base), also mark the position of the rotor to the distributor housing . You will need these reference points to re-install the distributor or installing a new one.

it is not the cap that is broken.. it is one of the bolts that screws the cap to the post,, so if i am gonna pull my post to drill it out then i am gonna replace the post with a performance one
