Diff width Problem

Hi. My jeep has a Dana 30 and AMC 20. I mud bog with my jeep and want to some how be able to lengthen my wheel space to be the same as the others. Has anyone run into this problem with out changing the Diffs. Also what can my CJ-7 be able to run without a lots of head aches?

Do you mean that you want a longer wheelbase (front and rear wheels are stretched farther apart), or that you want your Jeep to be wider (a wider track)?




If you want a wider wheelbase then I'd imagine you'd just need to move your spring mounts and look into longer driveshafts.

If it's a wider track, then you could get an inch or so by using spacers (probably not worth doing), or an easy solution would be to get wheels with the smallest amount of backspacing you can find (making the wheels stick out farther
