dana 35 to 8.8 ford question

My dana 35 gears recently went and I'm planning on putting in a ford 8.8 that I already have. My problem is that I don't have a lot of money right now and was wondering if I still could reuse the old drivshaft? I know that everyone recommends a sye but I really don't want to if I don't have to. I have a 1991 jeep Yj 2.5" lift with a 1" transfer case drop. What mods do you have make to connect the brakelines. Thanks for the info!

You might be able to. What engine do you have? If you have a 4.0 and need a slightly longer drive shaft you might be able to swap in one from a 2.5 to make up the difference. It's been a while since I did mine. I can't remember the difference in the pumpkin lengths.
