Don't know what code it's throwing how can I find out?

Try this:
With key off, push and hold the trip reset button on the odometer.
Turn key to run (not start), and back to off.
Release trip reset button, watch for code in odometer window.

If your guages go through the test cycle you may have released the trip reset button too soon.

If this doesn't work, I'd recommend having the codes scanned at your local auto parts store. Let us know what you find.

I already went to pep boys and they gave me those two codes.

Changed the alternator and all is good.
