if your smelling the exhaust inside the cab of the vehicle, yes, get it fixed, also that flex tubing is junk, it does not last long and it creates so much turbulance in teh exhaust flow that it is probably choking your motors down a bit.
The best thing you could do is put a complete new exhaust system into the vehicle, both safety and performance
