cooland sensor prob

Hi, My Grand cherokee (98) keeps telling me my coolant sensor is bad only flashes for a couple mins then disappears any one had same problem have checked all seem ok and jeep is not overheating, any help would be appreciated

Frayed wire? Maybe just at the firewall. Had similar issue with ABS light. Brakes all were 1day old when I figured it out.
Just a thought.
