Converting from Manual to Automatic

I am thinking of converting my CJ8 from a manual transmition to automatic. Has anyone done this and how much of a pain is it going to be?

One thing that I found out in attempting to swap a 258 motor into my girlfriend's Jeep was that motors that originally came in auto equipped vehicles have additional bosses in the block that have brackets for the auto transmission linkages. Manual 258's do not have these bosses. I was going to use a Lokar cable to control the linkage instead, but ended up selling that motor and getting one from an auto, so I should not have the problem.
