converting CJ to power brakes (yj parts)

I know the process.... but have one question.

My CJ has a vacum line coming off the rear axle all the way up to near the master cylinder. MAY have connected to a vacum canister that was once under the master cylinder. (no longer there).

Manual brakes work fine...the vacum line I speak of is NOT connected.

Once the YJ power brake unit is installed.... does this line have to be connected to something? :???:

AND.... does the power brake booster need a vacum line run off the manifold?

keep in mind....
chevy 383 stroker 510 dynoed HP. :D ... running a edl victor junior and edl 750 carb.... with MSD ignition... (no vacum advacne distribtuor)

the hose you speak of is probably a breather to keep the axle vent out of water, muck, etc (high, protected area of jeep) and yes... the booster runs off the manifold with a check valve at the booster (the "L") that maintains some boost if the engine dies.... hope it helps!
