Clutch question

Dumb question time. I am putting a 94 bellhousing in an 87 wrangler along with an AX15. How does the release (throwout) bearing attach to the clutch fork. I have it assembled, but want to make sure it is correct. Also, what pulls the throwout back when you release the clutch? The slave is not physically attached to the fork. It just pushes. Any pics would help.

The throwout bearing simply slips onto the clutch arm with two clips to hold it into place. The clutch arm returns automatically from the pressure of the engaged clutch, no return mechanism needed.

I guess you've already figured out how to mate the '94 AX15 to the '87 transfer case seeing as how the splines are different between the two.

Thanks. I had snapped the clips into the slots on the fork. I just wanted to make sure that was correct. But I got to wondering if somehow they were intended to be some kind of return springs. I just couldn't figure out how.
The transmission is an 89. The guy I bought it from apparently didn't know it had the 94 bellhousing and front bearing retainer on it. I didn't either until I bought the internal slave cylinder that didn't fit. So I am hoping to reuse the nearly new pilot bearing that is already installed.
I ended up with a 23 spline NP231 from another seller. My 87 case was cracked and rewelded---poorly---by the previous owner. One of the reasons I am working on this swap. The other is that 3rd gear is going on the Peugeot.
